| Born in Glasgow, Jamie MacDougall
has established himself as one of the country’s most versatile performers.
Since 2001, Jamie has been Scotland’s voice of classical music presenting
Grace Notes, for BBC Radio Scotland. He sings regularly with the BBC Scottish
Symphony Orchestra - most recently at the newly re-opened Glasgow City
Halls for BBC Scotland’s Day of Music. 2003 saw his TV presenting
début on BBC Scotland’s Proms in the Park from Glasgow as
part of the Last Night of the Proms festivities. He subsequently hosted
it in 2005 and will return this year to present it from Glasgow Green.

His singing career has taken him around the world performing
at festivals as such as the Edinburgh International, Salzburg, Perth Australia
and
Aldeburgh. Jamie has also worked with some of the world’s top
Baroque, Chamber and Symphony orchestras |
With over 20 CD recordings to date, Jamie is currently in
the middle of recording the complete folk song output of Joseph Haydn.
The project
is due for completion in 2008.
